Dirksmeier Breaks Pool and Team Record

Simmon's diver, Amanda Dirksmeier '11, set a brand new diving record for her team and for the Simmon's pool. Against the Mount Holyoke Lyons on Jan. 16th, Dirksmeier scored a mark of 223.00 for the 3-meter springboard competition, beating the pre-existing recorda of 220.35 that was set in 2001 by Sarah Brown. This is a great and well-deserved victory for the sharks as well as for the Simmon's Swimming and Diving Team.

Dirksmeier also placed third in the 1-meter springboard competition, securing a strong performance for her at the meet overall.
