School of Management (SOM)Dean Deborah Merrill-Sands is ending her 12-year tenure at Simmons this May to become dean of the Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business at Mills College, Simmons' sister school in Oakland, Calif.
The news that she had been "head hunted" by Mills broke in March, when Merrill-Sands traveled to Oakland to speak in front of the Mills community as a part of their dean search, a typical practice in higher education.…

Over 200 students, faculty and staff participated in the three-hour event.
